Common questions

Manage or cancel your subscription

  1. Open the iOS Settings app and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions, then choose Dopamin Detox.
  3. Cancel, or switch plans, from there. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the period you already paid for.

Restore a purchase on a new device

  1. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
  2. Open Dopamin Detox and go to the Profile tab.
  3. Tap Restore purchases to bring your Pro access back.

A block won’t turn off

  1. Open the app and go to the Today tab.
  2. You can always clear an active block from Today — no block stays permanently stuck.
  3. Strict blocks are designed to hold until they end; that firmness is the point, but the app still lets you recover from Today if something goes wrong.

Re-grant Screen Time permission

  1. If blocking stops working, iOS may have revoked Screen Time access.
  2. Open the app — it will guide you to re-enable Screen Time (Family Controls) permission.
  3. You can also manage this in the iOS Settings app under Screen Time.

Delete your data

  1. The apps and websites you block, and your usage stats, live only on your device. Delete a block, or remove the app, and that on-device data goes with it.
  2. You can revoke Screen Time permission at any time in iOS Settings to stop all blocking.
