Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Dopamin Detox: Limit Screen Time app (“the app”), operated by App Shaper (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own self-control purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or distribute the app except as permitted by law.

2. The app is a self-control tool, not a guarantee

The app helps you block your own apps and websites and build healthier habits. It relies on Apple's Screen Time framework and your device settings. We do not guarantee that blocking will be uninterrupted or that it will prevent every possible workaround. You remain responsible for your own choices and device.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• The app is free to download and includes a free tier. Optional “Pro” features are available by subscription at $1.99 / month or $14.99 / year (prices may vary by region and over time, and are shown in the App Store before you buy).
• Subscriptions are sold and billed through your Apple ID via the App Store. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. We do not separately process payments or issue refunds, except where required by law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• use the app to monitor or control another person's device without their knowledge and consent;
• interfere with or disrupt the app or the servers and networks it relies on;
• attempt to circumvent security or access features you have not paid for.

5. Not medical advice

The app and any related content (including our blog) are provided for general informational and self-improvement purposes only. The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are struggling with a compulsion, addiction, or your mental health, please consult a qualified professional. Never disregard professional advice because of something you read or used here.

6. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, App Shaper will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which App Shaper is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
